Well worth the extra price, these are so much better than the originals. The higher walls prevent any splashing which keeps the chamber and vapor path much cleaner. The thicker wires seem to have resulted in lower resistance with both my cups coming in at .43 ohms. That lower resistance means they heat quicker and more efficiently. These are definitely winners.

These allow for not only bigger loads, but better efficiency on equivalently sized globs, as what would’ve been splatter instead vaporizes. An upshot is a cleaner heating cup as well as bottomless banger or cap. Basically exactly what I’d hoped for – resistance range seems to be about .415-.435 and the TCR settings are calibrating quite similarly to the older cups – however, they do seem to like some extra wattage in comparison. As always, a pearl and spinner cap vastly improves the experience – mandatory IMO. Great work Matt!! This really takes the core/v5 ecosystem up to the next level

I couldn’t ever imagine using the standard size v5 heater cups again. Honestly, these are like a different product entirely. Thank goodness they beefed up the gauge of the wires because I was only getting a month out of the standard V5 I kept breaking leads but these are no problem and I’ve been on the same cup since they released!
